Taiho Jutsu (arresting art) means "control and restraining" techniques. Taiho Jutsu was created for the Japanese police force in 1947 and includes the study of "toshu" (unarmed), "keibo" (baton), "seijo" (handcuffing) and "hikitate-oyobi" (forcing a prisoner to their feet). Nisei Bujutsu system is based upon techniques from Hakko-ryu ju-jutsu, Yoshitsune Ju-Jutsu, Aki-Jutsu, Kobu Ju-Jutsu, Judo and Naha-Te Karate.
The Goal of the Nisei Bujutsu System is to teach law enforcement agencies, business corporations, victim service centers, or private groups the art of capturing lawbreakers alive and without injury. We use specialized implements and unarmed techniques intended to pacify or disable suspects rather than employing more lethal means.
